VW New Jetta TDI Pricing Revealed
THE PEOPLE WANT BETTER FUEL ECONOMY WITH NO COMPROMISES
Volkswagen Jetta TDI starting at $21,990 and certified at 38/44 mpg. Will you ever see VW's own rated MPG numbers? If you drive normally, you will probably see that. But compare your current MPG with your current car's rating. Use pen and paper, not the trip computer. We have a 2005.5 MKV TDI and if we try a bit on the freeway, we can get 50+ mpg. All hail the new Common Rail 16 valve diesel engine from VW. It's been called the 16VCRTDI in some circles.

We love the looks of this car. Let's hope that at least a de-tuned version comes to the USA in the future. Wait, maybe we'll get a new notchback.... ok, we can keep dreaming of a brand new Scirocco here, can't we?

Forge Twintercooler FMIC Review - Twin Intercooler

Let's look at an install of Revo Stage 2 software combined with a Forge Twintercooler. A twintercooler is the addition of a Front Mount Intercooler in parallel with the factory intercooler. Quite an odd design, but not only does it work well, you will see a similar setup on VAG cars in the near future where intercoolers are used in parallel.

2008 VW Jetta Diesels - Where is the new TDI?
So there have been rumors and discussions about the new 2008 VW Jetta Diesel models and their release dates. With the advent of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel and new emissions standards, VW was forced to create a new clean diesel engine for the USA Market.
The latest information stated a release of April 2008. However this has been even further delayed. According to Adrian Hallmark in a letter to it's dealer network, the new TDI's will not be released until late Summer of 2008. This is attributed to what is described as a technical or emissions issue with the downstream exhaust.
